Courses I Offer
1. BLS Healthcare Provider CPR Course This credentialed classroom course is designed to teach or refresh the healthcare provider American Heart Association CPR skills for adults, children and infants. It is intended for participants who provide health care to patients in a wide variety of settings - including nursing students, nurses, EMT's, respiratory, physical & occupational therapists and any other certified or noncertified healthcare professional. Course includes Relief of Choking skills, Barrier Devices, use of an AED and 2-Rescuer CPR. Upon successful completion of a written and skills test, a 2 year Course Completion “Certification” Card will be issued. Course length is 3-4 hours. Book and masks included. Fee $50.00
2. BLS Healthcare Provider CPR Renewal Course This credentialed course is designed to quickly refresh the healthcare provider American Heart Association CPR skills for adults, children and infants. It is intended for those Healthcare Professionals who are confident in their ability to perform CPR. This renewal course offers only minimal review of skills before testing. Course includes Relief of Choking skills, Barrier Devices, use of an AED and 2-Rescuer CPR. Upon successful completion of a written and skills test, a 2 year Course Completion “Certification” Card will be issued. . Book is optional for purchase. Book fee is $10.00 · Classroom Course Length is 2 hours. Masks included. Fee $40.00 · Online Cognitive Course plus Skills Testing Session At your convenience, complete the web-based, cognitive review and “written” testing first. Go to www.americanheart.org to take the course, for a $17.50 fee payable to AHA. Second, print the cognitive course certificate (available at the end of the online course) and arrange for a skills test by this instructor. Session length for skills testing is roughly 30 minutes. Masks included. Fee $25.00 · Written and Skills Testing Session Only This session is designed for the healthcare provider who is ready to take the written and skills test without further review. Session length for written and skills testing is roughly 60 minutes. Masks included. Fee $25.00
3. Heartsaver CPR Course This credentialed classroom course is designed to teach individuals American Heart Association CPR skills for adults, children and infants to those who have a duty to respond to a cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements – including security guards, airline personnel, lifeguards, police and firefighters. It is also designed for the general community who may have a need to respond to an emergency in the workplace. Course includes Relief of Choking skills, Barrier Devices and use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator). Upon successful completion of a skills test, a 2 year Course Completion “Certification” Card will be issued. Course length is 3 hours. Book and masks included. Fee $50.00
4. Family and Friends CPR Program This CPR awareness program is designed to teach family and friends who want to learn the basic CPR skills for adults, children and/or infants but are not mandated by some sort of requirement and, therefore, do not need an official American Heart Association Course Completion “Certification” Card. That means no written or skills tests! Course Participation Card issued instead. Program includes Relief of Choking skills, Barrier Devices and use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator). Program length is 2-3 hours. Book and barrier device included. Fee $25.00
